I was at a Marriott that had a refrigerator and microwave. So I bought some premade salads, fruit and frozen entrees at target. I also got pizza and some other fast food. I only had a few meals in a restaurant with friends. So food was not much each day compared to $150-300 theater tickets depending on one or two show days. (11 shows in 7 days).

Ha. I would eliminate one show and treat yourself to a good meal. |

I don’t like eating alone much in a fancier restaurant.

I don’t mind going to the theater alone. And I live in San Fran, we have plenty of great restaurants. And now that nyc banned foie gras like San Fran—there’s nothing I can’t get in nyc that I can’t in sf.

I went to Rocco to get a fresh cannoli. It was really good. I’m not sure if I could get that in San Fran.

I don't get to NYC often enough. But when I do, I always try to plan a Schmackary's trip in conjunction with a show. Now, it's not that hard to find good bakeries in my hometown of Boston, but Schmackary's is fun, and of course we don't have it there. (And when I was in NYC in January, I noticed they were selling cookies with Broadway show themes.)

You could have had a great meal for the price of Mother Play. And it might have proved more satisfying, and more memorable. |

If you are lucky, and arrive about 15 minutes before they close, you might find they sell at a 50% discount!
