Me too! I thought it was enjoyable and it was in my CD rotation for many years.
I wonder what came in (presumably distant) 2nd place that year for Best Revival after CHICAGO. My guess would be MATTRESS over the Nell Carter ANNIE and the Andrea Martin CANDIDE. I didn’t see those last two but with hindsight, I wish I had. I never saw Nell Carter on stage but I’m sure many on this board did. At least she and her singular voice live on through her film and television performances. |
