Edward R. Murrow had lots of great qualities, but one very obvious vice of his was that he was a chain smoker; is Clooney a smoker? -- is he going to smoke in probably most or all of the scenes he is in? Murrow was known for constantly lighting up and having a cigarette in hand during his tv appearances. Maybe there are better substitutes available for cigarettes on-stage for an actor nowadays for health reasons, but I seem to recall it was a big issue when reading about Anne Bancroft when she was going to play Golda Meir on Broadway in a play about her, as Meir was also a chain smoker. Smoking a lot of cigarettes over a concentrated period of time (twice a day on matinee day) is something to be considered.
