| That is true about "Birdie" -- though for the musical numbers that are left, they were done quite well, both musically and in their staging and choreography; even if not up to Chita's standard, Janet Leigh was box-office and is still enjoyable as Rosie. At least Dick Van Dyke and Paul Lynde were allowed to recreate their stage performances without being Hollywood movie names at the time. But, yeah, someone should have ixnayed the urtletay. |
