I saw it from both locations: from the traditional house and facing the traditional house. I didn't feel I missed very much at all. Rebecca Frecknall staged the show very well in that regard. I know this is a very controversial staging, but, for me, it is the most effective staging of the show I have seen since the original in 1966. It was both touching and frightening. Regarding "Married" and NewtonUK's post: Michelle Pawk, who played Kost in 1998, sang Married in German. So having Kost sing it in this production was not new to this production. |
