Not literally, of course. However, when I saw the events unfold in Patriots and watched how Berezovsky chose Putin and groomed him, it reminded me of the way that Bannon and Carlson discovered Trump's potential to become a populist leader and capture the support of the poorly educated and disappointed masses. They promoted him relentlessly and ultimately found a way to win an election through our flawed electoral college system without the votes of the majority.
If the unthinkable happens in November, the individuals I named (plus Michael Flynn) will be the brains and drivers behind the buffoon. An authoritarian government has no need for legislation -- it rules by fiat. |
