| Harry Haun has been covering Broadway and Hollywood for about 50 years, and that includes 17 years at the New York Daily News & 37 years at Playbill. A GoFundMe has been set up for Harry and his husband, Charles Nelson, who have fallen on tough times, between Harry's 3rd stroke and rent hikes, etc. When I arrived in NYC in the late '80s, I was lucky enough to edit his showbiz columns at the Daily News, where he sometimes filled in for Liz Smith. With his encyclopedic knowledge and witty wordplay, Harry chronicled opening nights on Broadway for Playbill for many years, and interviewed lots of legendary actors. He's penned two books: ''The Movie Quote Book'' and ''The Cinematic Century,'' and recently has written for the N.Y. Observer.
