| Well, they are woke because they are created by woke artists, and because there is generally an intentionality around shifting cultural norms (which is arguably a goal of much great art and dramatic storytelling). Barbie, which was the biggest moneymaker of the year, is an example of a super woke movie that told a compelling story while pushing against the patriarchy, to the delight of millions. |
