Those seem to still be the same rules. From what I can tell, you have to recuse yourself from the entire season if you yourself have a conflict of interest (or if you miss a single eligible element in any show). But if your spouse or family member is eligible, you only need to recuse yourself from that category, not the entire season.
"No member of the Nominating Committee may abstain in any category except as follows: A Nominator must recuse himself/herself from voting in any specific category or categories where there is a direct relation to an individual who is eligible. A Nominator will be permitted to vote in all other categories where this does not apply."
I count 53 names on the Nominating Committee. I wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason they bumped up the number was to counteract the inevitable recusals. |
