| On the contrary, the reviews for these nominees were demonstrably positive. It remains to be seen how popular they will be but it certainly NOT a low in Tony history. Some years have seen only 3 nominees ( Starmites, Jerome Robbin’s, Black and Blue!) and a number of years the winner was long closed (looking at you Hallelujah, Baby). |
