Nope, that’s a totally different song. The Stay Gold in the musical is original and was written along with the rest of the score.
And in response to the OP, I agree with how beautiful the song is. Hearing it just before my recent New York trip made me change some plans and open up a slot for The Outsiders. And I’m so glad I did; I loved it and it was one of my favorites of my trip. I’m rooting for it to win some Tonys next month. |
