Triggered! In the early 70s, I saw several bus and truck stops in Peoria (the Munsel Applause, the Julie Wilson - Alan Case Company {which later returned to a first-tier-style tour, closing at the National in DC}, the Viviane Blaine Zorba). What was remarkable in those days: not only the replication of the B'way staging, but the quality of the physical productions. The Applause sets were eerily almost exactly like the huge ones at NYC's Palace, which I'd seen about 6 months earlier with Anne Baxter. Bus and trucks got a bum reputation, but in their heyday - and the Peoria stops were only 2 nights - rather stunning reminders of the gift of tours.
